AVFL is constantly upgrading it's equipment to remain state of the art, and staff training is continuous.
Video Systems :
Conitech has provided us with our second mobile video forensics workstation. Along with our dTective mobile package we now also pack Cognitech's Tri-Suite. Tri-Suite adds powerful multiframe enhancement, stabilization, excellent de-multiplexing and suspect measurement capability in the field. This dual approach to mobile response requests adds capability and assures that should one system go down we are not disabled.
AVFL uses Ikena super resolution technology by Motion DSP. This is advanced video enhancement and stabilization software. MotionDSP was funded by a strategic investment and technology advancement agreement with In-Q-Tel, the independent strategic investment firm that identifies innovative technology solutions to support the mission of the Central Intelligence Agency and the broader U.S. Intelligence Community.
We also feature Intergraph's VISAR video enhancement software developed at NASA in our facility. We recieve updates the moment they are released.
Ocean System's DTective and Clear ID video enhancement systems are relied on in the lab for excellent high resolution capture, image processing and preparation of evidence for court. Courtroom demonstrations are crisp and the best quality is preserved from the clarification / restoration process.
Audio Systems:
AVFL is proud to offer audio enhancement on the
CARDINAL FORENSIC AUDIO SYSTEM by DAC Audio and Cedar Audio's CAMBRIDGE processing system.
These presigious devices are highly effective in extracting as much speech as possible from recorded audio.
Pro Tools and Adobe Audition are also used to supply sound files to our systems networked throughout the lab.
Voice Identification:
The Series 700 Sound Spectrograph is used for voiceprints. This is the classic, reliable, industry workhorse used in the application of the standard Aural Spectrographic Method.
Field Systems:
Our field audio and video acquisition, enhancement and playback systems are designed to be portable. If necessary we can dispatch complete systems including analyst to your site or the courtroom. In
the case of original evidence that an agency will not release we can travel to the field office and copy it without alteration.
Real time Demultiplexing:
We can demultiplex
video sources into their individual camera views in real-time
from either a live source or a previously captured file.
